Tom, it sounds like it might be something internal. If your battery was working before you dropped it and the suddenly stopped, the problem will probably require more than cleaning.   Did you try a new battery and/or recharging the old? IF you did and nothing is happening, it might require repairs.

I dropped my Kodak digital camera two years ago and it never worked as well afterwards. They are very delicate! Even Kodak's repair did not bring it back to where it once was.
