I hope you're hearing me out there.
Alas, alack, for it has been
Two weeks and still my gift's not in.
There's many'a postal holiday
This month which might have caused delay.
But now they've no more Mondays off
And so, perhaps, they will not scoff
At my sad face and bitter tear
And will deliver ere next year.
