Only saw the last 10 minutes. Damien Dempsey is so depressing. I've always enjoyed "ishoos" based folk, but he's just so grim and joyless - at least Billy Bragg's songs were always witty and well-crafted. DD's stuff is like the product of some hideous well-meaning teenage songwriting project. Dire.

And don't get me started on Flatley's satin blouse, or his suburban-mum hair...
