Subject: RE: Holmfirth Festival of Folk 2007
Well Soldier boy I myself as a Guest visiting Holmfirth at whatever time of the year have always been made to feel welcome. This is especially true during the Holmfirth Folk Festival Weekend. I'm sure that would be the wish of most of the people who are Mudcatter's to make Guests and anyone who contributes to any towards thread welcome. As they are interested like myself in helping to promote that thing we call "Folk". Inevitably there are people whose glass is always viewed as half empty by themselves. Now the best cure for this is for them to visit Holmfirth Festival of Folk I know it and you know it. We can but try and convince them of the warm Yorkshire welcome that they will receive when and if they come along.

I not going to mention any names but last year one Folky was so keen to return to The Holmfirth Festival of Folk he arrived the Weekend Before! He did not discover his mistake till he rang up his friends to ask which Pub they were in. When they said "The Fleece" he said, "which one is that" and they explained that it was between the Endeavour and the Middle Earth. He said well let's not mention what he said. Just let it be know that this is a man who's views his glass as if not Half Full it's Full. I can report that he did eventually get over to Whitby's Moor and Coast Festival, which is on the Bank Holiday Weekend and he was back in Holmfirth the Weekend after for your Festival. I'm not sure if he will make Holmfirth Festival of Folk this year however his many friends have promised to attach a Luggage Label to him with the Postal address of the Nook. So, should he make it to the Moore and Coast Festival he will then be re-addressed so that he will be returned automatically to one of his favourite Folk Festivals in Holmfirth.
