It was Jimmy JACKSON....the owner and manager...the man who never smiled...
Many memories of the Winter Gardens...and the pier before that...yes, It did sway during the ceilidh....
Do you remember Pat Neilly...wonderful fiddler who lived in nearby Humberston....?...playing in the pier bar with Finbar and Eddie and swapping tunes with Ali and Cathal....couldn't see across the room for smoke...

Hope the Festival manages to survive, apres Winter Gardens...,,but I can't think of anywhere local that will house that many folks...must be a real problem for the organisers..
I wish then well in the search.
