You know, in a kind of perverse way, I agree with you.
However, it's a double edged sword, As a Scot, I've already paid my share of the millenium dome etc. along with various other money squandering projects all over the UK.
I've now got the Olympics coming up, I read recently that Montreal is STILL paying for theirs from 1976!

You're right though, I'm not a great lover of the union.
