I fully agree Tyke. Peter did a brilliant job last year and if it had'nt been for the Picturdome and the excellent folk artists and gigs he put on there there would not have been the opportunity to continue the festival under new organisers and the new banner of 'Holmfirth Festival of Folk'.

This year it looks like Carol has excelled herself and has now organised something like 25 Morris sides over the weekend.
This will add fantastic colour and atmosphere on the streets on Sat 12 and Sun 13 May.
Many of these sides this year (including the world famous 'Brittania Coconut Dancers from Bacup') are coming from further afield, infact from all over the country. This means that the camp site this year will be much busier and they will add to the throngs of people drinking, singing, playing and drinking in the pubs and of course attending the concerts and workshops etc.
It is a fantastic achievement to get so many sides involved and it also shows how popular this festival is and how it is going from strength to strength.
