Thread Name: Lyr Req: Nellie Bly (children's song)
Subject: Lyr Req: Nellie Bly Children's song
Hey, all! a friend (non-Catter) and I were chatting about children's songs, the other day, and she remembered one from a Cassette "Sampler" of folk music for kids, and she thinks it must have been around 1986 or '87... small house label, and part of a set.

The key lines from the chorus that she remembers are:

Nellie Bly, Nellie, don't you roam.
Nellie Bly, don't you women belong at home?

The tape also included Leslie Haworth's "Here's to Chesire," if that helps.

(And both songs were sung by male leads, with women, perhaps, singing harmony on "Cheshire.")

Doest any of this ring any bells? We're both kind of itching with curiousity, now...
