I will admit it was my idea. When the fellow and I finally touched base we both ended up laughing about it. He damned near got thrown in the jug for getting loud in the WU office insisting he wanted the first telegram and what the hell good was WU, etc, etc. Thing is none of us wanted to lie to our friend and make up stuff about the first telegram, so we told him the truth. We blamed a fourth guy who wasn't at the party.
