Pat, I hope someone is able to sit you down to a warm meal of comfort food and a cup of hot tea or coffee and let you relax in a nurturing environment for a while. Taking a little time for yourself to relax and let someone else offer support is what makes it possible to get through this kind of time. You'll look back on this time with yearning for your lost loved one, but also with a sense of real gratitude for the friends who were able to offer this kindness.
