The harpsichord-skeleton joke was by Sir Thomas Beecham, who would *not* have liked to be confused with Sargent. Beecham once described Karajan as "a sort of musical Malcolm Sargent".
Beecham's recordings are still listenable, Sargent's are period pieces.
