Not prone to it myself, came close once in 8 foot seas. Couldn't remember any cures at first, but finally remembered.

The guys I traveled with in the Gulf of Mexico in workboats and crewboats had two cures they recommended. One was chewin' and spittin'. The other was to lie down on a couch or bench in rough seas, on your side is good. The idea was that the stomach bouncing up and down causes the problem, and if you go horizontal there is less leeway for bouncing. I don't know if it's bunkum, like I say not real prone, but it did seem to help once when it got rough.

Bee, maybe that's why we're less prone, our tummy travels less than some.?
