It was my impression that THE "Mr. Lear of the Lear Jet family" died in 1978. If this is correct, then some minor deterioration of his faculties might, by now, be expected.

It's possible, of course, that there was a descendant "Mr Lear" but as the compay (Lear Jet) was losing immense amounts of money by the time of the sale to the Canadian Bombardier (which is actually a money-laundring front for French financiers), the family apparently inherited so little that the entire clan (if there is one) has passed into obscurity in the home area of the airplane, and they are completely unknown and unheard of here so far as I've been informed.
