I had the endoscopy and biopsy which thank God proved negative for Barret's Esophagitis. My Doctor did not want to take any chances. For the past 5 years I am on Prevacid (30mg.) once every morning plus Famatodine (Pepcid AC) 20mg once in the morning and another one again in the evening. I am also on a zero fat and grease diet with no alcohol or spices. I have not had red meat in the past 5 years, only chicken and turkey which I cook myself. All the skin and every ounce of fat is removed before cooking. I will have to stick to this diet and rx regimen for the rest of my life.
