Mom,

Today I went to a dusty dark storage center east of town and spent four hours opening old boxes of stored belongings. I restacked and combined and moved things to the dumpster. Then I came home and made a dinner for six, and had some wine and now all the clocks have gone off by an hour. It's been a loooong day.


But I am glad to see you, Mom, and I want you to know that I really appreciate you. I am not going to kiss your ass by making imaginary delicacies or anything, but I am glad you are here.
