Even the Fugs were not untouched. Drummer/co-founder Kenny Weaver eventually became a right wing born again.

I was pre-teen in the 60s and that was a good way to be. It was cool to live through Beatlemania which was over by the time I turned 11. I took bubblegum music more seriously than I would have had I been older. Jimi Hendrix was totally mindblowing to me. It was all like a magical musical universe. If I had been older, I probably wouldn't have tuned into it. I hate everything that comes out today.
