Greed, envy and power - not much crap happens in the world that can't be put down to these three.....usually, the first.

The veneer of civilization is far thinner than most folks care to admit... and, however highly we may think of ourselves, we are still no more than animals with abnormally large brains which, to a large extent, we have no real control over.

Greed, envy and brutal behaviour are common traits in many other species but the animal called 'man' has grown intelligent enough to refine these natural traits to truly extraordinary levels that no other animal would accept as reasonable behaviour, and to then apply such suffering on an ever grander scale.
