Subject: Review: Ron Olesko's Folk Music Notebook
I have never met Ron Olesko, though I hope to rectify that one day. Perhaps we will be some place where we can shoot the breeze, and make a little music. He had no idea that I was going to start this thread, but I imagine he knows now .... LOL. But I just felt as though it was necessary to comment on his blog.

One of the things that is so important in our wonderful world of Folk Music is to pass it on, to take every opportunity to tell others why we love this genre so. Another important facet is making sure we support the artists and public figures so that they can continue to tell our story.

Ron's blog has intrigued me from day one. He thinks his way through these things. Currently he ran a story on a neighbor of mine in Michigan who I have the greatest respect for -- Joel Mabus. The blog entry is well written, personal, and interesting as hell. I want to urge you to give it a read. And check in with him from time to time. You won't be sorry.

Thanks for doing this, Ron. It is a great blog.

Le gach dea-mhĂ©in,

Mick
