I think that is the typical reaction to SL - especially for us serious-minded folkie types. While I still think it is a bit silly, mostly I don't think about it - the cartoony-video game look. I just get to where I need to be to play or listen to music. Ok, I'll admit it - I have danced a bit. For that matter, I have burst out laughing at some of the antics I have seen. So my advice? Relax. After a bit of time there, it will not feel so freaking strange!
