I'm out!!!!!!!

My ball and chain were unlocked yesterday afternoon and I'm back at home now. I recovered from the op much better than anyone expected (although I was miffed to be kept in for 10 days). I was expected to be on the HDU for 4 days but only needed 24 hours, and I don't remember much about those, although I do remember it was kept very dimmed and relaxing.

My time on the main ward went more or less according to plan, apart from the usual blood problems. My bed was one of those triple-doubled jointed electric things. VERY comfy. I'm threatening to dump Mick and marry that bed instead.

SJ: My belly must be almost as large as I had 21 staples in all. They came out yesterday so no need to have the wound seen to until the post-op appointment in a few weeks time.

The only bad thing left over is a slight nausea at the smell/sight of most food (even Mick's), but I hope that will pass soon.

Many thanks to all Catters for the love and positive energy sent to me. Mick told me about new postings each day and it was a great lift to the spirits to know that folky-folk were doing their thing to bring me home. Thanks.
