*G*, Peace. I went looking for stats on what Canada spends on its military and came across this unpleasant man - John Gibson, of Fox- who was on a rant.

Seriously, however, apparently Canada is not addressing the 'what ifs'- another (Canadian) link talked about fire fighters in Canada being the front line of defense in the country (Take a bow, Peace) but says that in the event of a disaster, whether natural, biological, or nuclear, Canada is not prepared, that it would take hours if not days for effective response.
