Well, the Alaska Folk Festival is on right now and that's alway fun and happy. It began last night and will continue through this coming Sunday. (You can listen live on http://www.ktoo.org/ 7:00 - 11:00 PM, ADT). Saturday and Sunday will be filled with workshops plus the concerts go until 5:00, and then begin again at 7:00. The Carolina Chocolate Drops are the Guest Artists this year- they will do a concert on Thursday night and again on Sunday night, plus numerous workshops on the weekend.

It's always a happy time, with music popping up spontaneously all over the place. This noon someone called me and I went down to a local art shop where a bunch of us played until 4:00.
