It's the longest place name in the world. It is the name given by the local Maori people, Ngati Kere to a hill to celebrate the eponymous ancestor Tamatea Pokai Whenua.

Don't ask me to say it, but as a rule, Maori words are pronounced as writ - every letter sounded. The wh sound is like saying a q without touching the roof of your mouth.
