The version above from BUTTERFLY (Date: 16 Dec 02 - 04:58 PM ) is the best of the transliterations here.

"ch" is the soft fricative sound as in German Bach or Scottish loch
long "i" is a long "ee" as in "pita bread" (but not in the "nis" of "vay-nis-m' chah"
"a" is always short, except when spelled out as "ay"
And it's "sa-may-ach"
