Subject: RE: BS: What have the Americans ever done for us
Didn't we give Jerry Springer to the English? If we did, why is he still here in the US? Can't you people hold on to anything!?

In my little pocket of America, in the places where I sing, we like English folk music. This is a good thing, since from what people say on Mudcat, hardly anyone sings it in England.

As an aside to people who are just a bit slow getting the joke and too eager to find fights, the original Monty Python, 'What have the Romans ever done for us' line is, 'All right, but apart from the sanitation, the medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, a fresh water system, and public health, what have the Romans ever done for us?'

It's not a troll, unless you're in the habit of being easily trolled by ironic lines in humorous moves, and it has the stink of a compliment about it...
