Uncle Dave - how funny was it to realise we were sitting two seats away from one another?!

The big choral songs were just fantastic. Some Old Salty, Bright Phoebus, Country Life...brilliant.

Beaux of London was a HUGE highlight. I've said on another forum that Eliza's talent staggers me every time I see her - and I see her a lot. During her EFDSS gold badge presentation she was called the one of the greatest talents of her generation. I don't think that's true: she's one of the greatest folk talents of ANY generation. And she gets better all the time. I was chuffed that she played Colourblind (the Irving Berlin song she does while playing melodeon).

Lal's daughter's likeness in both loos and voice is almost spooky. Fine Horseman had the hairs going up on my arms.

I loved Brass Monkey, too.
