Hey Stewart looks like we're sharing the same room for our workshops.
There really is more entertainment at this event than is humanly possible to take in and that's just the scheduled stuff. Then there are the many impromptu performances as Stewart was mentioning. Each year the Alki Room has been set aside for folks who wish to purchase performer's recordings. There are tables full of cds.
There's a nice little acoustic stage there as well. Any perfomer who is being featured at the festival can schedule an impromptu performance on that stage by speaking to the folks in charge of sales there. You end up singing to those who are wandering through the room seeking to purchase recordings as well as anyone who happens by and wanders in to enjoy your show. I played two shows there last year and sold most of cds via those shows.
Oops! I was having so much fun describing my workshop that I forgot to mention my musical saw workshop's time schedule.
