I spend every memorial day and labor day weekend with 5,000 of my
closest friends at Strawberry Music Festival near Yosemite National Park. the tickets for it have long ago sold out for both the memorial day and the labor day events.

we call these the spring festival and the fall festival.
memorial day is the official opening of the summer season,
and labor day is at the close of summer.

there are numerous stages, workshops, a lake, an on-site
radio station, a band scramble, a morning variety show at
the breakfast cafeteria, and evening night club, hikes,
horse back rides, yoga classes and more.

camping under the tall trees is part of the tradition and
so is jamming. Often after the main stage closes down just
before midnight, the camps come alive with music and many
campers stroll from camp to camp listening or joining the jams.
