Ok I'll tell you about just one Family that was not just devastated but destroyed through this terrible illness. As mother of two boys she had to over most of their lives travel down to London for treatments and tests. The boys missed a lot of school time and never really caught up with the lesson that they had missed. Dad well he did his best but inevitably the strain took its toil. He would go out on a bender when things went from bad to worse. The woman he loved the mother of his son's had just a slim chance of survival. It was very difficult for him to hold down a regular job having to take time off work to travel down to London with his wife for her treatments.

A long wait for a heart and lung donor that would be a suitable match to save her life or at least extend it so that she could live to see her sons grow up. Try to imagine how that family managed as the years of waiting went by. How would you feel if it were you daughter and your grandchildren?

Then at last a Donor Heart and Lung becomes available so once more the long journey down to London one last chance for life and happiness. Sadly a common cold put an end to all her hope and dreams the transplant could not take place.

After her death Dad tried to keep the family together but having gone into debt and no regular job and feeling. Well I can't tell you how he felt only family's who have gone through this traumatic experience could. I can't tell you how the two boys have coped when their Dad committed suicide.
