England and Wales (I think) has more or less uniform rules, those for Scotland vary wildly from place to place and depend on the time of day, the layout of the pub and whether the place has a children's licence. There is really no way to know what age someone would be permitted in a particular area in a pub in Scotland at a particular time without asking the landlord specifically.
