I agree with Don above. Most of the songs mentioned here are good songs--they've stood the test of time--and many are requested at sessions and parties where we are paid to play, so it's good to know them. It's just a matter of personal preference.

We don't know what the worst folk songs were, because they were quickly forgotten and consigned to the dustbin of history.

So I tried to think of some song I don't like--the Grey Funnel Line comes to mind.
