A bit more info I've just received:
Barrie's funeral will be held in the family's home town, in Hampshire I believe. I'll post the details when I get them. Friends in Walsall are considering getting up a coach trip.

Oh, and if you're still wondering about those pith helmets: Barrie & I used to wear them, along with the rest of our tropical kit, for those miltary melodies. (He looked a bit like Colonel Bloodnok with a fu;l; set of whiskers). I've got some photos, if I can dig them up. And I'll post some of his songs as well -- there should be one or two already in the DT.

He never did get to meet Woody; he''d already died by the time Barrie got to the US.
