If you mean the banjo-picking singer of the Mountain City Four (back in the early sixties), yes, he is indeed my cousin.

By the way, I've attended the Champlain Valley Fest for more than 20 years straight; it's a week after Ormstown; a bit farther south and you have to cross the border (gasp). But it's a terrific fest; you can swim and listen to music at the same time. For more info:
