Regardless of what Funk says about the media the fact remains that Bush and Co created the biggest foreign policy screw-up in American history and don't have the vaguest clue as to how to fix things; the only thing they can think of is 'stay the course' and the wasting of billions of dollars and thousands of lives in a conflict which cannot be 'won'.
Four years on and Rumsfeld's 'surgical strike' and 'in and out in six weeks' is looking fairly preposterous.
