What a long and many-faceted journey its been for you. I'm so sorry for all that you've lost, though grateful for the peace that has come. It's easy to forget how complicated people can be - we've never talked about your brother, but he sounds like someone who embodied a lot of good and some challenges, wrapped all together. But I know for sure that you're who you are partly through his influence, and in that he gave a wonderful gift to the world.
