If you are on the N25 in Ireland, between Cork and Rosslare/Waterford, check out the session at "The Marine Bar", Old Parish in West Waterford almost any night from June to Sept, or "Mooney's Pub" in Ring, also West County Waterford (The latter is home of "Danu" the new sensation among the traditional bands, Donal Clancy, Ciaran Galvin, Donnachda Gough and others) Bring your own "music" with you, you'll be made very welcome. Not your typical tourist trail venues either. Maybe I'll see you there.
