In Malden, a suburb just north of Boston, MA, New England, U.S.A. (not far from the antipodes of Perth, Australia), in a studio apartment in an old mansion much uglified over the years. I am near the Orange Line, so I can get into town easily without a car. A pleasant local amenity is Fellsmere Park, with a pond that harbors ducks, geese, carp, turtles, dragonflies, and an occasional swan or cormorant, and with plenty of trees for squirrels, chipmunks, crows, blackbirds, and the like. It is a few minutes' walk away, and I take my constitutional there if no other business gets me out of the house.
