And I should add that about half that group ("and each one of them, I have never seen again.") was women.

Quite accidentally, I ran across the wife of one of them on the 'Cat and he and I have been corresponding some by e-mail, and he's steered me to a few more of the group......you know the ones......we were gonna' change the world. Did too....a little......just not enough for my liking yet.
