I was somewhere near two years old and trying to drag Queenie, a full-sized collie (by the tail) out of her dog house on a hot day. She nipped me and drew some blood. I understand she felt bad about it because it was her barking that alerted my family to the situation. They found her licking my face. She and I were friends for years afterwards, but I didn't try that again. Don't even have a scar to show for it.
