Wow, Terry, I thought you were kidding about Nunavut (as in "We'll have none of it!"), but then I googled it -- and it really is a relatively new Canadian territory! Whaddayaknow... (heh, that'll be the next one they make -- Whaddayaknow Territory)

The capital of Nunavut is Iqaluit. I guess that the committee sat around and asked each other, "Well, what do you want to call the new capital?" and somebody started to say, "I call it...." and then the rest said, "Sounds good; let's go with that." No wonder the ballots were sealed when they voted on the new capital. Think I'm kidding about a committee? Look here!

Could be worse. The other choice for capital was Rankin Inlet... and "rank" can mean having an offensively strong odor...

The whole thing sounds a bit Simpsonic to me.
