We've a youngish cat: Sakura.

Also a 'lockable'? catdoor, yet still get 'cat'burglars.

So we leave some cat dryfood outside as a diversion + human food scraps for night visitors such as foxes, hedgehogs etc.

Of late, I've noticed slugs seem to enjoy catfood & depredation of me crops is minimal.

Guess feeding the buggers is better than toppin' 'em with slug pellets?
