I haven't had a lot of success with beer to get rid of slugs and snails. Maybe they didn't like the VB (I can't blame them), but I'm damned if I'm gonna waste the good Coopers or Pure Blonde on them!

No cheap beer left now, so I'll have to think of something else. The snails have been particularly bad here lately - even climbing up and eating the leaves of the passionfruit vine. It's winter, and I would have thought it would be too cold for them. I don't remember them being a problem in winter before.
