I don't know why we don't just open a bar for the little blighters - "The Slug Inn". All the beer you can drink and bowls of chips and salted peanuts on the bar to snack on. And a free salad bar. They'd never leave!

You could have a sign - "Slither on in to the Slug Inn!" And if a drunken fight starts, we'll just let 'em 'slug' it out.
