"All band members are from L.A.'s underground scene and legendary local cats like Chris Darrow (Kaleidoscope) or pedal steeler Jay Dee Maness has been putting some fine touches on this album as well. There's a special story to be told concerning one man's contribution: Dr. Eric Hord, the man who played many classic guitar parts on famous songs by the Mamas & Papas and Barry McGuire. Nowadays he's a contruction worker and doesn't play anymore. But he's a friend of producer John Bird and one day there was a knock on the studio door and in walked an unkempt elderly figure in a worn tie dye shirt and baggy shorts. It was the Doctor. As a surprise to everybody, he agreed to play on a track and added a one-take improvisation to the albums's core tune "Good Ole' Boy in Gomorrah" . Then he left and was not seen again. So, this might be the last and final performance of the legendary Doctor Eric Hord on record."

That is a few years old.
