"NOT MY DAUGHTER, YOU BITCH!"

I think JKR forgot she was writing a kid's book. Whatever her declarations that the HP books aren't kid's books, they certainly were in the beginning and she knows damn well that kids all over the planet are gobbling them up.

I found it a bit disappointing after the build-up. Can't fault the author for that though. But I think the backstory on Dumbledore could've been better done; it was kind of anticlimactic.

And I think we all knew Snape was really a double-agent so no surprises there, though his death again was anticlimactic.

But all-in-all, a good weekend's read in the deck chair with a few cold beers.
