Phil -

I think I've mentioned that you guys with good cameras make me sick. You probably didn't even have to photoshop all of your pictures like I do. (grin here).

On our drive-through last week, the river was a little lower than in your couple of shots in the top row. That little mud spot just behind where our camper has been the last couple of years had 3 - 5 inches of standing water still in it, but it will have about a month to dry up some. There are no big rains in the long term forecasts that I've seen. There were several campers in the Pecan Grove getting set up for the fair, so it was already "usable" at least.

The NOAA River Report has been showing the river actually lower than in recent past years, although they've "bumped it up" a couple of times since the early June flood. That was probably to bring down the upstream impoundments to give them some reserve space in case of later rain.

I'm expecting to go down early on 23AUG for the pre-lineup, and will probably stay in the camper and use the time to put everything together that fell apart last year. If we work it like past years, Lin will get there about 31AUG to be there for the "official" Lineup on 01SEP. She'll probably be there most of the time after that.
