A friend at work had to explain why he was sporting a sling and a black eye... he told everyone the frequent answer - he fell down a step. He later divulged the true and less frequent answer to me.

He and his lady friend were engaged in a little sporting fixture which involved twin beds pushed together. They got rather enthusiastic, the beds shot apart, he ended up dislocating his shoulder as he landed on the floor between them, and blackened his eye on her knee as he went.
