Penny Black Concert - Fylde Folk Festival 2007

As part of Fylde Folk Festival 2007 - Penny Black have been asked to put a Concert on on Friday 31st August 2007 at the Old Victoria Hotel in Fleetwood.

It was decided that it would be a great opportunity to get MySpace Friends together, and although a three hour concert couldn't offer everyone a chance to perform, it did give Penny Black the unenviable choice of who to ask - this they did based on friends who have given their support to the Penny Black A.R.C. (Arthritis Research Campaign) collections over the years, up and coming local artistes they felt deserved an airing, old friends that have been around for many years (you know who you are!) and New friends made on myspace but who they have never met face to face, even after many hours of deliberation, soul searching and arguing the short list was far too long - so here are the six acts who will be representing the 100's of friends who Penny Black would have liked to have invited.

Penny Black hopes no one feels left out and if anyone is to blame it's The Queen (heads or tails take your pick!)

To all MySpace Members, please come along to the Concert, say hello and support this hopefully one of many Fylde Folk Festival's Penny Black & (MySpace) Friends Concerts, to all those who offered their talents and couldn't be fitted in a message from Penny Black: "You know we still love you and YOU ARE HEROES" :0) For those who are Performing "Many thanks and we'll see you on the night if not before"
