I'm afraid I need more info. If the banks were closed, When they reopened would they pay just so much on the dollar, nothing, or all.Would the dollar be devalued?

Seems I recall my parents ( in the big depression) saying they were just given a small percentage of their bank savings. Anyone recall that figure?   

What the heck does one do if they've no wood burning fireplace? Mine runs on propane.

Is this the time when lone ladies go out & buy a gun?
Seems like the home break-ins will escalate terribly if these predictions come to pass.
