Subject: RE: Jed Marum House Concert, August 11 (MAINE)
Just back. Jed sang for hours - some new material he was trying out on us, some older material from his CDs and then some pure fun sing alongs. Kendall accompanied him on at least one song - Will The Circle Be Unbroken.
As I remember:
Maggie
Annie Laurie
Look Ahead Tommy
Stonewall of the South
Chicopee (sp?) River
Several songs on hangings, including John Brown's and MacPherson's.
A song about the Shenandoah, a Confederate ship.
Hard Times
Red Is The Rose
A song he learned from Kendall about a missing hat.
Down Where The Green Grass Grows
Katy(?) Alabam' Boys?
White Cockade
hIs song about moving from Boston to Texas
A song by KimC - name?

Someone else will have to add the rest.

Jed is such a pleasure to watch and hear. He has wonderful stories to tell about his songs and the people who sing them. Wonderful stories (he swore they were all true) about perfoming. His guitar picking is amazing. His banjo - well... Especially when it is accompanied by a partial strip tease. Someone else will have to explain.

Deborah and Tom's hospitality made for a perfect evening. A real pleasure.
